Are you monetizing our members?
No, and the pricing is designed to prove it. Your subreddit pays nothing, ever. Members pay $2.99 for their own verification, charged only when they pass; every check along the way is free. That flat fee, plus a single disclosed sponsor slot on the success screen, is the entire business model: no data sales, no targeting, no revenue share with anyone. If we wanted to monetize your audience we would charge $10 and sell the list; we charge the price of a coffee, because verified flair only works when everyone can afford to wear it.
What will our community say about privacy?
The check never asks for a government ID, a face scan, or an SSN. Lookups show a username, a check, and only the tier the holder chose to show. There is no reverse search: nobody can type a username in and ask if it is verified. Identity details are deleted the moment a verification completes. Every claim is written up on the methodology page, so you can link it instead of defending it yourself.
What do mods actually do day to day?
Nothing, mostly. A user posts their code in your verification thread or sends it to modmail; the bot checks it and sets the flair you configured. Edge cases that need a closer look go to Flairproof review, not to your modmail. Your dashboard shows everything the bot did, and a short weekly digest lands in modmail so you can see it working without looking for it.
What does the bot see and touch?
The app asks only for what it uses: reading comments for codes, setting and removing user flair, and replying if you keep replies on. It runs on Reddit's own Devvit platform, so its permissions are enforced by Reddit, not promised by us.
Which checks fit our sub?
Net worth tiers for FIRE-style communities (up to $100M+), career and income signals for high-earner subs, and employer checks for professional subs. Financial advisors are additionally checked against the SEC's and FINRA's public registries, with optional firm-scale labels from Form ADV filings. You choose which tiers earn flair and what each flair says, per tier, from the dashboard, including ready-made flair packs designed for your sub's culture.
Who runs Flairproof?
Future Bets, Inc., a Delaware company. The operator is reachable as u/flairproof and will identify themselves to your mod team during setup. Ownership, methodology, and funding are all written down where your community can read them.
What if we stop using it?
Uninstall the app and everything stops. Flair the bot set stays unless you remove it. Your dashboard data is counts and public usernames, nothing you need back.
EVERY SUB IS PUBLICLY AUDITABLE
Each participating subreddit gets a public stats page: active verifications, revocations, and impersonation attempts blocked. Counts only, no usernames. When someone asks "who is this third party?", link them to your sub's page and let the numbers answer.
