Terms of Service

Draft v0.1: plain-language terms. The formal terms follow compliance review. See also the privacy summary.

What Flairproof is

Flairproof verifies something true about the person behind a Reddit account: a net worth tier, an income level, career and income signals, or that they work in a stated industry. It then issues a short code that resolves to a public verification page. Verification is offered as-is, for community-flair purposes only.

A Flairproof tier is a community threshold, not a legal one. It is not investment advice, not an offer or solicitation of any security, and not a determination of investor accreditation or qualified purchaser status under securities law.

Your account and your code

Your code is bound to the Reddit account that completed sign-in. One active code per account. Codes expire 12 months after issue and can be revoked by you at any time from the manage screen.

We may revoke a code if we conclude the verification was obtained fraudulently, including submitting proof that is not yours, edited recordings, or impersonating another person.

Acceptable use

Do not submit proof that belongs to someone else. Do not attempt to verify an account you do not control. Do not scrape, enumerate, or bulk-query verification pages. Rate limits and forensic checks enforce this, and abuse ends verifications.

Payments

Verification is free within the monthly allowance. Beyond it, an instant check is priced so we net one dollar after payment-processor fees (about $1.34 by card, about $1.03 in USDC), charged before the check runs. A paid check that completes is not refundable regardless of outcome, because the records query costs us money either way. Paying never changes the result of a check.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described in the privacy summary, which is part of these terms.

No warranty, limited liability

Verification relies on third-party records and automated review, and can be wrong in both directions. The service is provided without warranties of any kind, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the version noted on this page. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
